ben affleck speeds through oscars speech
BEN Affleck raced through his acceptance speech after his film Argo won the Best Picture award at last night's Oscars.
Fearing he might run out of time, the actor and director spoke at high-speed as he said his thank yous.
His voice cracked when he thanked his wife Jennifer Garner for "working" on their marriage.
Ben, 40, had received a standing ovation as he took to the stage with co-producer George Clooney to collect the night's biggest award for the movie, which is based on the true story about a CIA operative who helped to rescue six American embassy employees during the 1979 Iranian hostage crisis.
The gong was presented by Michelle Obama live via satellite from the White House in Washington D.C.
Ben, who controversially missed out on a Best Director nomination for the movie, quipped: "It is work but it's the best kind of work and there is nobody else I would rather do that kind of work with."
