Victoria Pendleton won't be happy! Brendan Cole is prepared to miss Strictly Come Dancing final if his wife goes into labour

Victoria Pendleton's Strictly Come Dancing partner Brendan Cole has hinted of a potential obstacle if the Olympic cyclist manages to dance her way into the final.

The professional dancer is expecting his first child with Zoe Hobbs - with the due date just two weeks after the BBC show's final.

And Cole has insisted he will have no problem leaving the 32-year-old double gold winning Olympic star without a partner at the final if his wife is rushed into labour.

He told Bang Showbiz: 'There would be no way I would miss the birth. Zoe and the baby are my priority.

'If me and Victoria get through to the final and Zoe goes into labour, I would rush right away to be with her.'

He continued: 'I wouldn't care about missing the final. Victoria would cope and they'd be able to find her a replacement.'

However, Brendan admitted that he loves working Victoria, and has dismissed suggestions that she is emotional.

Victoria has been seen in tears on the show, but Cole added: 'Working with Victoria is great.

'She's really passionate, like me, which I love because she's putting loads of work in to be good. She's always laughing and I've hardly seen her cry.'

She might be crying on Saturday from shock.

This week has a Fright Night theme to celebrate Halloween.

Victoria Pendleton is shown on the promo for this week's episode dressed as a Corpse Bride.

The stars will take to the stage and perform some spooky routines.

Judges on the show claim Victoria is improving every week - despite getting caught up in her dress during the last episode's dance.
