Most blogged artists: Justice releases Rick Rubin remix
Parisian electro duo Justice re-enter The Hype Machine's most blogged artists chart on Thursday with the release of a fresh remix of their track "On 'n' On" by legendary producer Rick Rubin. A new face in the top ten is Yellow Ostrich, the once-bedroom project of Wisconsin native Alex Schaaf that has transformed into a full-fledged indie band.
Justice -- Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay -- is set to follow up their sophomore studio album, Audio, Video, Disco, with a new remix EP of the track "On 'n' On," featuring renditions by producers Tiga, Brodinksi, and Erol Alkan. In recent days, the duo also released a video for the original tune featuring "inspired visuals for the track, full of skulls and enormous naked women," writes blogger Pigeons and Planes.
Yellow Ostrich is set to release a studio album called Strange Land on March 6 via Barsuk, and has been building buzz over the first single "Marathon Runner." "It really shows how great that they sound as a trio, fully capitalizing on the bedroom sound that Alex had been developing for so many years," writes We All Want Someone to Shout For. "It's a great song, and probably one of the many we can expect from the album."
