Twilight still flying at top of U.K. box office

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, earned $ 8.5 million (£5.3 million) to remain in first place, while 007 movie Skyfall grossed a further $ 6.1 million (£3.8 million).

Christmas movie Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger! raked in $ 2.5 million (£1.6 million) to land third position, while Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence's new drama Silver Linings Playbook debuted in fourth with $ 2 million (£1.2 million).

Colin Firth and Cameron Diaz's comedy Gambit rounds out the top five, taking $ 1.1 million (£689,042).
