In honor of last week's American Music Awards, we thought we'd take a look back at some awesome moments from this 40th anniversary of the award show! Here's a list of some awesome moments and performances from the night!
10. Carly Rae Jepsen: She is not only one of the hottest singers right now with her smash hit, "Call Me Maybe", but she also won Best New Artist! Her performance of "This Kiss" was adorable, but when she broke out into her biggest single to date, the entire crowd was on their feet!
9.The Wanted: They had an awesome set and a live band to tie it all together! The hot band of five guys sang their new single, "I Found You", and brought down the house!
8.No Doubt: I, for one, love the fact that No Doubt has reunited and that they are kicking it up a notch with their new music! Their performance was pretty hot...literally as they sang their new single, "Looking Hot." Gwen Stefani looked awesome and the band has still got it!
7.Nicki Minaj:Belting out her new single, "Freedom", Nicki was a vision in all white and a pink wig! The performance had a whole winter theme to it and she even had a choir to back her up!
6.Psy feat. MC Hammer: What is bigger than "Gangnam Style" right now? Pair this amazingly catchy dance tune with MC Hammer's "2 Legit To Quit" and you've got an interesting mix of exciting dance moves and a memorable performance!
5.Justin Bieber:Who doesn't have "Bieber Fever"? Bieber not only cleaned up at the awards show, but he performed his two big singles, "As Long As You Love Me" and "Beauty and The Beat." If you don't love The Biebz, then this performance just might change your mind!
4.Taylor Swift:On the cusp of her amazing and popular new album, TSwift broke our her single, "I Knew You Were Trouble" for the award show. She changed costumes and had the audience loving the new dub-step sound she has on this track! It was definitely a sign of a new Taylor and it rocked!
3. Stevie Wonder: This man is a legend for a reason! During the tribute to Dick Clark, who was the founder of the award show 40 years ago, Stevie Wonder sang a mix of his classic songs, "My Cherie Amour" and "Sir Duke." It was a touching performance and Stevie Wonder did such an amazing job during the tribute!
2.Kelly Clarkson: The first American Idol has had many hits, and in her amazing performance, she sang an entire medley of her songs ranging from her first big hits to her current songs on the charts! It was moving to see how far this girl has come and how incredible she still is after all of these years!
1.Pink:Pink always brings her A-game, and this performance was no different! She was covered in paint and had no shoes on, but the passion she brought out during her performance was unparalleled. The performance was meant to mimic her "Try" music video, and she did it justice! It was definitely the performance to see at the show and Pink always knows how to shock and amaze!
All of the performances were awesome! Which was your favorite from the night?!
