BOXING champ David Haye became the ninth contestant to be voted off I'm A Celebrity tonight.

Not even regularly showering in the buff could earn the legendary sportsman - who had been consistently successful in the Bushtucker Trials - enough votes to take him to Saturday's final, despite him having been an early favourite to win the series.

Haye's elimination means there are two women competing to be crowned Queen of the Jungle - Ex-EastEnder Charlie Brooks and former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts.

On leaving the jungle, Haye - who had survived 21 nights - said: "Freedom at last! It's the way it's meant to be... I've had a lot of fun."

And despite all his boxing success over the years he insisted taking part in the reality TV show had been the best thing he had ever done.

He added: "Here you're laid bare - everyone gets to see the real you."
