Reese Witherspoon bonds with mini-me daughter Ava... before making her first appearance since son's birth at VIP launch

Reese Witherspoon is really making sure that her elder children don't feel left out in the wake of their new baby brother's arrival.

She's been spotted cheering son Deacon, eight, on at his football match at the weekend, and on Friday she was spending quality time with her lookalike daughter Ava.

Reese took the time to do her hair and make-up and pulled on a flattering shirt dress as she took 12-year-old shopping.

Ava wore a pretty pink T-shirt with a Rolling Stones-esque tongue motif emblazoned on it.

Not seen was her newborn, Tennessee James, who she welcomed into the world less than a month ago.

Reese and husband Jim Toth celebrated the birth at the end of last month and a source recently told People magazine: 'Everyone is bonding with the baby.

'And Jim has had a lighter workload and has been spending a lot of time at home with the baby as well.

'She definitely feels settled in her family life with Jim and her kids.'

Another source added: '[Jim] was just over the moon and really excited to become a dad'.

The actress spent a couple of days in a Los Angeles medical facility prior to Tennessee's birth after it was feared she was going into early labour.

After being discharged doctors told her to take it easy at home and get plenty of rest. The Legally Blonde star recently admitted she was planning a career break to raise her little tyke.

In June, she said: 'I'm feeling very round tonight. After I finish [filming] 'The Devil's Knot', I'm going to take a little time off - and go have a baby!'

But it appears she won't be taking too much time off as she currently has three films in pre-production, including a big screen adaptation of the popular self-help book by author John Gray Men Are From Mars, Women Are From Venus.
