She may have been going to great lengths to hide her stomach as she stepped out last week, but Petra Ecclestone seemed more than happy to flaunt her rounded stomach on Tuesday.

Adding to mounting speculation that she is expecting her first child with husband James Stunt, the 23-year-old socialite didn't seem to care who saw as she paraded her slightly protruding tummy for all to see while on a shopping trip in Hollywood, California.

With black leggings accentuating her tum, the British Formula One heiress had clearly abandoned her previous tactics of hiding her suspected baby bump behind her bag.

While a representative for Petra told MailOnline they were 'unable to comment at this time', her elder sister Tamara Ecclestone hinted recently the blonde star had a little more than just the California sunshine to be smiling about at present.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with MailOnline, she said: 'I don't want to speak for them, but they are very happy at the moment.

'She loves the way of life over there and she definitely loves the weather! She's really happy.

This was the second day in a row that Petra was spotted with a slightly bulging tummy.

On Monday night, the 23-year-old showed off her seemingly new curves as she left Spago restaurant, in Beverly Hills, California.

Petra seemed to be making extra effort to showcase her suspected baby bump as she slipped into a very tight dress, which she teamed with a pair of stylish boots.

After leaving the restaurant, James and Petra jumped into their Lamborghini Aventador as he drove the couple home.

The pair married in August 2011 at Odescalchi Castle, near Rome, Italy, with the nuptials reportedly costing £12 million.

In July 2011, they moved to Los Angeles, purchasing Aaron and Candy Spelling's palatial 123-room Beverly Hills mansion for a staggering $ 85 million.
