Jessie J is almost unrecognisable as she ditches the make-up and embraces girl-next-door look
|
She's known for her bright make-up, garish outfits and sharp haircut.
But Jessie J could have been anyone as she stepped out in plain clothes and minimal make-up in Los Angeles on Saturday.
The Essex-born star was a far cry from the image that made her famous as she blended in with the crowd on a shopping trip with a friend.
Wearing a high-waisted grey skirt, paired with a white T-shirt, the star looked like any other 24-year-old as she wandered around LA before heading to the recording studio.

The star added an olive green biker jacket to the look and instead of her trademark skyskraper heels, the singer simply wore a pair of white Converse trainers.
Her well known hairstyle was cut short, but instead of sharp and harsh, the singer's fringe was swept across her face, giving it a feminine look.
Known for her over-the-top make-up, the Price Tag hitmaker kept it simple for her trip out and went fresh-faced.

Small hints of her old image remained as she sported a pair of large hoop earrings and neon nail polish.
Jessie has recently admitted to softening her image after sacking her original stylist and opting for a more grown-up look.
Speaking to Elle Magazine last month, the singer said:
'That really scary, spiky, cartoony kind of thing, that was me two or three years ago. Now, I'm definitely more embracing of myself as a woman and my sexuality and just being a bit more feminine,' she said.

'I've always wanted to look like this, but it didn't grab people's attention. And in the beginning you've always got to do something that's going to make people go, "Who's that?,' she added.
Although Jessie is always tight-lipped about her relationships, she felt the need to take to Twitter earlier in the month to deny engagement rumours:
'Apparently I'm engaged. Would love to meet this person I'm supposedly marrying… #rollseyes,' she wrote.
Doing nothing to quash the rumours, the star wore a gold ring on her engagement finger, perhaps happy to stir up a bit of controversy.
