Most blogged artists: John Talabot & Pional, Four Tet
Spanish producer John Talabot has teamed up with Pional to create the official track for the 32nd Divina Pastora marathon, pushing the duo into fifth place in the Hype Machine's most blogged artists chart on October 29, while Four Tet re-enters the top ten in sixth place.
John Talabot has teamed up with fellow Spaniard Pional to create "Braves," the official track to the 32 Divina Pastora marathon in Valencia, Spain, which takes place on November 18, 2012. "Braves" is described as "perfect to inspire those both in their training up to the event and to those who are on their last legs during race time" by Human Drizzle, and as "epic" by Audio Porn Central.
Also making a splash on the blogs Monday is British electronic musician and producer Four Tet, whose track "Lion" has been treated to a remix by Jamie xx, known for his production work with beloved indie band The xx. Pigeons and Planes describes the remix as having "an IDM-esque vibe" that "lies in the bassline used, feeling like something Aphex Twin or Autechre would've conjured up in their heyday," while Stereogum describes the track as having "a skittering 2-step drum pattern and a great foghorn dub-bass melody."
