Zayn Malik: Darth 'theft' was all a mistake
DARTH Vader is to get his gloves back from One Direction prankster Zayn Malik — thanks to The Sun.
Zayn, 19, said he didn't realise the black gauntlets belonged to Star Wars impersonator Jeff Ives when he put them on during a visit to Radio One.
The Sun yesterday showed cheeky Zayn posing in the costume pieces as the boyband and Jeff were guests on the same show.
Jeff, 44 — who paid £40 for the custom-made pair — demanded them back and 1D's management tracked them down.
A spokesman for the band said: "Zayn wasn't even aware that these belonged to Darth Vader until we raised it with him.
"He thought they belonged to one of the other boys — he thought it was part of the 1D wardrobe.
"Zayn apologises to Darth Vader. We've tracked them down and they will be returned."
Impersonator ... Jeff Ives found his gloves had vanished
The boyband and Jeff had all attended a special 38th birthday show for DJ Chris Moyles last month.
Jeff, of Peterborough, Cambs, said last night: "I'm just pleased I'll get my gloves back."
