One Direction news: Band bring in extra security to protect Niall Horan from pigeons
Niall, 18, has had the phobia since one attacked him in the loo when he was a kid.
The X Factor stars have brought in extra security on their promo tour of America to remove pigeons at outdoor gigs.
Niall, whose bird fear condition is known as ornithophobia, said: "I get really nervous if pigeons are flying around before shows.
"I can't stand them after one once flew in through my bathroom window and went for me while I was having a wee. That was enough. I think pigeons target me."
Bandmate Harry Styles, 18, said: "Niall's really scared of pigeons. We have to protect him."

A PHOBIA of pigeons is fairly common, often after visiting somewhere pigeons gather in huge flocks.
The symptoms include palpitations, breathlessness, dizziness, feeling sick, excess sweating, dry throat and — in extreme cases — fainting.
It can be treated — but it may be easier just to avoid places where pigeons flock in large numbers.
