Jones is survived by his wife Jessica and four daughters from previous marriages. He was 66 years old.” Jones was born in the UK and joined The Monkees in 1965. KGO has the history. “The band was initially cast for a television show. They became heartthrobs and had a number of hits, including ‘Daydream Believer’ and ‘Last Train to Clarksville.’” And KPHO reports on Jones’ long career, which continued up until his death. “Jones was a child actor before being cast as a member of ‘The Monkees’ in 1965.
