Amanda Seyfried showcases slim figure in blue lace at Berlinale screening of Lovelace

Amanda Seyfried's latest film role sees her playing blue movie star Linda Lovelace.

So it looks like the actress may have looked to the tragic porn star's name and job for inspiration when choosing her latest red carpet look.

The blonde, 27, wore a blue, lace Elie Saab dress as she attended a screening of forthcoming biopic Lovelace at the Berlinale International Film Festival on Saturday.

The Mean Girls actress showed off her slender figure in the Ready-To-Wear Spring/Summer 2013 creation as she walked up the red carpet of the German festival.

She was joined by her co-stars James Franco and Peter Sarsgaard, who play Hugh Hefner and Linda's ex-husband Chuck Traynor in the film respectively.

Also in attendance were the film's co-directors Rob Epstein and Jeff Freidman.

Lovelace, which is due for release later this year, tells the story of porn star-turned-activist Linda Lovelace, who famously starred in 1972 hardcore porn film Deep Throat.

In a recent interview, Amanda admitted she had generalised Linda as 'just another porn star' when she first heard about the film.

She told Collider: 'She was famous being able to deep throat really well and she was a porn star, just another porn star to me.

'I remember the first time I met with Rob and Jeff, they showed me this massive book, this massive collection of research and photographs, and they had all these DVDs of footage, and I was just blown away because of course everybody has a story, everybody is three dimensional.'

Earlier on Saturday, Amanda was seen wearing a red shift dress as she attended a press conference for the film.
